Chamber Announces 2020 Economic Excellence Award Recipients

Brenkus, Bianchi, and Mansfield Engineered Components to be honored January 30th

Mansfield, OH – The Richland Area Chamber & Economic Development today announced three recipients for their 2020 Economic Excellence Awards, which will be handed out at the Annual Meeting & Dinner on January 30, 2020.

The Economic Impact Award recognizes a person, business, or organization for their efforts in supporting economic, workforce, and/or community development in Richland County. This year’s recipients are:

  1. Mansfield Engineered Components –for their innovative efforts around workforce development in our community.
  2. Mayor Teri Brenkus, Village of Bellville – for her extensive efforts in driving community development in the Village of Bellville and surrounding area.
  3. Bob Bianchi, Mansfield City Engineer – for his exceptional work towards community and economic development in the City of Mansfield.

“As our area continues to revitalize, we feel it is important to highlight the success stories of people and businesses that are doing amazing work. This year’s award recipients are all great examples of that, and we are so excited to honor them,” said Jodie Perry, Chamber President & CEO.

The Chamber will also be announcing the surprise recipient of the prestigious Chairman’s Award that night. Also as previously announced, three local women have been selected as finalists for the 2020 ATHENA Award in Richland County.  The award, which is being sponsored by Richland Bank, will also be handed out at the dinner.  The ATHENA finalists for 2020 are Michele Gorman (Richland School of Academic Arts), Kristie Massa (Richland Bank) and Zoi Romanchuk (PR Machine Works).

The dinner will be held on Thursday, January 30th at the Kehoe Center in Shelby.
