Leadership Unlimited Program Day Selection

Leadership Unlimited is a community leadership program that allows you to explore and engage in your community through tours, speakers, and activities. You will plan a program day in a group of 6-7 people.

Program day topics and subtopics are developed from your responses to the question on your LU application, “Please give your opinion of three significant opportunities and/or challenges facing Richland County.”

Each participant will receive an outline of learning outcomes, activities, and recommended contacts at the retreat. This way, you have an idea of what worked well in the past, while taking ownership of hosting the day.

Then, select your top three program day topics below. IMPORTANT – please select the topics you are interested in learning more about and that have the LEAST connection to your daily work. In some cases, your industry may cross into multiple program day topics, and that’s OK. The goal is to research and learn more about these community topics with your group members, not draw from your existing knowledge. Also, consider what month the topic takes place and whether you are generally busy with work obligations. The days not listed will be planned by me and other facilitators.

The DiSC assessment is used to help individuals understand why they communicate the way they do and how they can communicate with others more effectively. Take this short 12-question assessment and download your free report. Skip the offers to pay for upgrades. We will not be debriefing this assessment, but your report will have helpful insights for you to reflect upon. Your DiSC style will be a consideration when creating the program day groups. 

Please create your introduction slide using this template. Feel free to create a theme that matches your personal brand, but please include the elements on the template. You will use this slide to make a 1-minute introduction during the opening retreat.

Leadership Unlimited Program Tuition includes a standard room with two queen beds at Mohican Lodge and one roommate. You have the option to pay for a private room at the rate of $135 per night plus taxes. Please indicate your preference for room pairings. In both cases, I will make your room reservation.
