Whether it’s for your own voting interests or you want to introduce soon to be voting teens to political issues facing our area, be sure to attend the Mayoral Debate on October 17th. This event will be Mansfield’s largest – and perhaps most significant – political debate in many years and is taking place at the Renaissance Theatre on Park Avenue West. The debate between incumbent Mayor Tim Theaker and Democratic challenger Councilman Don Bryant is free and open to the public, though reserved seating is recommended.
General admission tickets are free and can be easily reserved at the Renaissance Theater’s website. VIP tickets are preferred seating nearest to the stage and are available for $20 each. All proceeds from VIP ticket sales will be donated to the Mansfield Rising project at the Richland County Foundation. Tickets can also be reserved or purchased through the Renaissance box office. The box office is open 12-5 Tuesday – Friday. The phone number is 419-522-2726.
Do not miss this opportunity to attend the public job interview for the City of Mansfield’s most important job. You can also help shape the agenda and questions by sending yours in through Open Source, Richland Source’s audience listening platform.
Mansfield’s 2019 Mayoral Debate is presented by Richland Source, the Renaissance Theater, iHeart Media in Mansfield, DRM Productions, the North End Community Improvement Collaborative, the Richland Area Chamber and Economic Development, and Richland Young Professionals.
