Have you noticed a new smiling face out and about representing the Chamber? If you haven’t had a chance to meet her yet, we are excited to introduce you to Ashley Meyer, the new Membership Coordinator with the Richland Area Chamber of Commerce. There is a good chance Ashley will be the first person you see when you stop by the Chamber office—we hope you join us in giving her a warm welcome!
Ashley will be working with current and prospective members, managing member benefits, and organizing the Chamber Ambassadors committee. She will also work with other Chamber committees, assist with events, and will coordinate ribbon cuttings. If you happened to notice all the great facebook posts for Small Business Saturday in the past week, then you have already witnessed some of her handiwork!
Ashley began her career as a Teller at Richland Bank and worked her way up to Branch Manager. After being involved with the community at Richland Bank for 10 years, Ashley decided to take the Membership Coordinator position at the Chamber to gain even deeper involvement in the community.
Ashley’s love of the community runs deep. Ashley is currently the coordinator of the Shelby Bicycle Days Spokes4Kids Event and co-chair of the Richland Young Professionals Mentorship Program.
Ashley states “I am very excited for this new role and the chance to get to know the community on a different level. I am also looking forward to meeting our members and to welcoming new members to the Chamber. There are great opportunities for businesses and organizations when they partner with the Chamber through membership. ”
Ashley was a Lexington graduate and currently resides in Shelby with her husband, Jesse, and their daughter, Cecelia. They enjoy taking new adventures and relaxing at home with all their animals.
