This is the ‘welcoming committee’ for the Chamber. This group visits new members, attends ribbon cuttings, calls on current members and helps us serve as hosts at Chamber events.
Commitment: Meets the last Thursday monthly, member visits as time allows, and various events as able to attend.
Small Business of the Year
This group solicits nominations, selects the award recipients, and assists in planning the Small Business of the Year luncheon annually.
Commitment: Meets monthly from August – December.
This group oversees the programming for the Lunch WISE Wednesday Businesswomen’s luncheon series in collaboration with Mind Body Align and the SBDC.
Commitment: Meets monthly to plan future speakers and topics.
This group oversees and plans for the Chamber’s Annual Business Expo, including helping to recruit vendors; selecting a theme; and helping us to energize this popular annual event.
Commitment: Meets monthly from Sept.- April.
Talent Recruitment Team
Take part in developing strategies, activities, and tools that will be a key part of attracting and retaining talent from outside of Richland County. If you are passionate about Richland County, and feel that you have great ideas that could “sell” our community to someone who is considering a relocation – this is the group for you!
Commitment: Meets monthly.
Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!)
This innovative program teaches middle and high school students in the area how to start their own business…by actually doing just that! Students will become more confident in their ideas and abilities, and learn about real business – why they succeed or fail. This program has graduated over 2,300 students nationally over the past 11 years!
Commitment: Opportunities abound for volunteers from mentors, guest speakers, field trip hosts, investors, and more!
Small Business Saturday
This group helps plan, organize and promote the annual Small Business Saturday passport promotion throughout the Richland County area.
Commitment: Visits as time allows during the month of November to assist in “swag” delivery to participants.
This group drafts the Legislative Agenda, reviews issues for endorsement, makes connections to elected officials, hosts the Legislative After Hours annually, and more.
Commitment: Meets 2nd Tuesday monthly, various elected official events.
The Job Fair Committee evaluates, plans, and executes Richland County’s largest recruiting event. The Job Fair Occurs in May of each year.
Commitment: Meets once a once month starting in January (subcommittee meetings may occur more frequently closer to the event).

The Leadership Unlimited Advisory Committee was created to oversee the program, the participants, and future success of the program. The Committee also helps with alumni engagement by providing additional resources and experiences. The Advisory Committee meets on a quarterly basis to discuss current programming and items the Foundation Manager needs to focus on. Promotes a “shop local” program for the community.
Works on beautification efforts in the Bellville area.
Bellville Arts & Culture
Works on public art, the Bellville Opera House, and other forms of arts and culture programming for the Bellville area.
Business Friendly Regulatory Environment
Works to create a link between the private sector and public sector regulators such as local building, zoning, health department, and others.
Annually plans and hosts an event to bring middle school students to The Ohio State University Mansfield and North Central State College campus to talk about college and career opportunities.
Mansfield Area Beautification
Works on projects to beautify the greater Mansfield area. This includes plantings, landscaping, clean ups, and more.
Mansfield in Bloom
Works on Mansfield’s efforts for the America in Bloom competition.
Works to connect the local arts community, host events to promote the arts in our area, and more.
Works to revitalize the Miracle Mile area of Park Avenue West.
Mansfield Military Affairs Council
Works to create a strong partnership between the local community and the 179th Airlift Wing base at Mansfield Lahm Airport.
A partnership of museums and historical sites in Richland County. Their mission is to collaborate to discover, preserve, and share history in Richland County.

An organization of young professionals that seeks to enhance and contribute to the prosperity of the Richland County area by providing professional development and networking through educational and social programming.
