Workforce Pulse News from Clint Knight, Director of Workforce Development at the Richland Area Chamber & Economic Development
For 5 years now, Team NEO has been tracking and compiling data on employment gaps in Northeast Ohio. This data show demand vs supply through completed diplomas and certificates. The latest report still shows that we are still under supplied for skilled Metal and Plastic Workers, Nurses, and Administrative employees, but over supplied in Engineers and Education. It also points out that as a region, we have increased the number of Post Secondary Credentials earned to 37% (up $5), but decreased in population by 173,000.
