The Leadership Unlimited Advisory Board members oversee the current class activities while coordinating alumni events. Meet one of our board members.
Name: Alex Goff
Company: Third Street Family Health Services
Role: Development Director
LU Graduation Year: 2022
Why should graduates of LU attend alumni events such as socials, dinners, and panels?
I think it is important to attend LU alumni events such as socials to keep in touch with other leaders in the community and to keep a pulse on Richland County as a whole. Many times, we get caught up in our own day-to-day and fail to see the new business advancements and opportunities coming to our area.
How would you describe your LU experience?
My LU experience was transcendent for me as a leader and as a young person looking to grow my career. I was able to learn from other aspiring leaders throughout the community and build crucial connections that allowed me to start a new career and even a side career as an adjunct professor.
In what ways do you feel more equipped and connected after graduating from LU?
I feel more equipped after graduating from LU because of the leadership principles I’ve acquired through this course and the vast network of individuals I’ve met. I communicate with one of my classmates almost weekly about various topics or questions related to different industries. Without LU, I would lack many of these crucial connections necessary to perform my job at a high level.
Describe your civic engagement roles such as board and volunteer service.
My civic engagement roles are as follows: Domestic Violence Shelter Treasurer, Wayfinders Ohio Treasurer, Richland Young Professionals Board Member, Ohio State Alumni Club of Richland County Board Member, and Leadership Unlimited Advisory Board Member.
Fun fact about you:
I was a collegiate National Champion in football in 2012.
