Project Management with Agile and Scrum
Program Description
Did you know that almost 60% of traditionally managed projects fail?
Experts agree that these projects typically fail because traditional project management techniques are not well-suited to the volatile business world we find ourselves in today. Today’s businesses require modern and flexible project management approaches. Thankfully, there is a solution. Agile and Scrum project management techniques provide the adaptability and versatility we so desperately need to not only survive, but thrive, in this new world.
Whether you are a seasoned engineer in a medium or large manufacturing organization, a small business owner with your first big customer project, an IT manager organizing a software rollout, or you hold any number of other roles where complex work must be organized and planned, this lively and interactive program is for you. It will prepare you to manage your projects through the many unknowns and uncertainties prevalent in today’s ever-changing work environment.
You’ll learn how to mitigate risks to on-time delivery and budget overruns, improve employee and customer satisfaction, and improve project outcomes through Agile and Scrum project management techniques. The material is covered through classroom instruction, interactive discussion with classmates, and hands-on activities, all facilitated by a seasoned business coach and advisor.
Please note that this is an introductory pilot program. One employee per organization will be accepted. The instructor offers custom training for individuals and groups which can be used to reinforce the learnings from this program and guide the participant as they begin to apply and eventually master these skills in the workplace.
