Now Hiring: Winter Marketing & Communications Intern (In-Office)
The Richland Area Chamber & Economic Development (RACED) and the Richland Community Development Group (RCDG) are seeking a Marketing and Communications Intern for Winter 2026.
The Richland Community Development Group (RCDG) is a 501(c)(3) organization devoted to advancing economic and community development throughout Richland County. RCDG collaborates with public and private partners to strengthen economic development, workforce development, and quality of place.
The Richland Area Chamber & Economic Development (RACED) serves as the county’s leading advocate and catalyst for business success, providing programs and services that enhance our members’ competitiveness and the community’s overall value as a place to live, work, and invest.
This position will support both organizations’ missions to strengthen Richland County’s economic opportunities, enhance business success, and promote community growth. The intern will gain valuable hands-on experience in digital marketing, communications, and content strategy while working directly with the marketing and economic development teams.
Description
This internship offers a dynamic, skill-enhancing environment with opportunities to attend meetings and events related to business, workforce, and community development. The selected candidate will work closely with staff to assist in marketing, communications, and digital media projects that strengthen outreach to Chamber members and the broader community.
The intern will assist with a variety of marketing projects, including website SEO audits, newsletter development, and management of the Yodel community calendar. They will help optimize the photo and video database, assist with video editing for events and campaigns, and support AI integration for content creation and analytics.
Additional tasks include competitive and keyword research, designing graphics and promotional materials, and gaining exposure to all departments within the Chamber and RCDG to understand the full scope of economic and community development work.
This internship offers a valuable opportunity to contribute to projects that enhance Richland County while developing practical skills in marketing, communications, and technology-driven outreach.

Hours: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Monday-Friday
A minimum of 20 hours per week is preferred. Schedule can be flexible to accommodate the intern.
Pay: $13.50 per hour
Qualifications: The ideal candidate is a current college student with strong communication skills, attention to detail, and professionalism. They should have experience with social media, graphic design, and digital marketing tools such as Canva or Constant Contact, an interest in marketing and community development, and a curiosity for learning new technologies, including AI-based tools. The candidate must be able to work on-site in Mansfield.
